At Decker Elementary, we believe in the power of the arts to support and enrich student learning. Integrating music, art, theatre, and dance into the school experience engages the whole child and encourages personal growth, creativity, and confidence. Research shows that exposing students to the arts program, can improve attendance, boost academic achievement, support emotional well-being, and foster a lifelong love of learning. Arts education also helps strengthen the connection between school and home by encouraging family involvement and building community support. When students are exposed to the arts alongside core academics, they develop skills that support success in reading, writing, math, and beyond.
